DomLuka was one of the first authors I added to the Suggested Reading page. His story The Long Way (The Log Way - cute story behind the name) caught my attention early on. That was followed by another then another. I admit it! I'm a DomLuka Fan!
DomLuka dominated the online gay writing genre in the early 2000s with his strong character-driven narratives. He slipped off quietly in 2009 and we haven't heard from him since, sadly.

Rory's mom just died and soon after the funeral his life is turned upside down when he finds out that his mom has contacted the father that he never knew. Now, he's forced to live in the desert with a family he doesn't know, a father he doesn't want to know, and to top it all off, Rory's gay and no longer has anyone to confide in. Friends will be made and the meaning of family will be found as Rory discovers that everything isn't so bad in the desert.
I guess I'm getting a bit obsessed with DomLuka's stories because this is the third story he's written that I've added to the list. Or perhaps it's because he's a very talented author. Whatever the reason, read the story. You'll be an instant fan ... just like me.

This is a great story about Owen and eventually Owen and Aiden. Owen's father throws him out of the house for being gay and he ends up living with his two older brothers. A chance fight at school gets Owen introduced to Aiden only to find out Aiden lives in the same four unit apartment building! Owen thinks Aiden is cute, but hopelessly straight and Aiden thinks ... well, read the story. You'll love it!

The little goldfish was his most recent addition to this tank, and already he could tell that the two mollys seemed to be mistaking its gleaming gold scales for flakes of food. And just like always, he did not interfere in the affairs of fish, just as he did not interfere in the affairs of Travis Beltnick, who the little goldfish was reminding him very much of at the moment.

This is the story about seventeen-year-old Quinn Moore. He has a loving family, good friends and a girlfriend he's deemed as perfect. Quinn's also gay, not that he's about to admit it. He likes things just the way they are, thank you. But then he meets Jude Landon, and everything in Quinn's comfortable world is turned upside down.
DomLuka is also the author of "The Long Way," a story that I throughly enjoyed. I was not disappointed. If you're having trouble accepting your sexuality, check this story out. Even if you're not, check it out. Accepting something that's a part of us can be difficult ... and that's what this story is about.

But, when Frank begins to suspect that not all is well in the Martin house and begins to search for answers that no one wants him to know, he finds himself in the middle of a family feud that could test his patience, his morals, and ultimately place his own life and those he cares about in danger.
Author Warning: This is not a romance, so if you're familiar with my other work and expect the same kind of story here, you won't find it. However, this is my first attempt at Mystery/Suspense, and I happen to be proud of it.
