"It's been over half a year," I said quietly as we sat down on the back patio.

"I know," he smiled back at me.

His gorgeous blue eyes sparkling in the sunlight.

"This is going to sound weird," I started.

"Yeah, I've got to say something too," he cut me off.

"Uh, Tay, I -"

"Will, I love you, too," Tay said quickly and quietly.

My mouth dropped open. I was in shock. Not by the fact that Taylor Hanson said he loved me, but because I loved him as well.

"I've not been able to forget you since that day," Tay said quietly.

"Me either, it's like I'm not able to think clearly, my mind scrambles, I see things that haven't happened," I replied.

"You too," he said with wide eyes as he turned to face me.

"Yeah, an earthquake, I remember being in an elevator, with you," I said quietly.

"Oh God, Will me too," Tay's voice cracked as a tear formed in his eye.

"Taylor, can," I stuttered.

"Yes," he asked leaning in closer.

The heat had caused us both to break into a sweat. The smell of his body, his hair and cologne was filling my senses. I felt drunk. My heart pounded, my brain scrambled again, flashes of things I didn't remember rushed through me. I looked at his gorgeous face, his lids were heavy, his face flushed. I knew that face. My heart knew that look.

"Taylor, can I," I felt my voice husk quietly.

"Can, I kiss you," I almost groaned as he closed the gap between us and pressed his mouth to mine.

*          *          *          *          *

My heart felt like it was exploding. The feeling of his mouth, the touch of his warm tongue. The feeling of his hand on the back of my neck, all of it put me into sensory over load. I never felt more right. Every ounce of pain in my body drained away. I knew him, I loved him, I knew there was something here.

"I love you so much," I cried quietly as we hugged.

"Taylor, what is happening," he cried quietly.

"I don't know, all I do know is something is seriously screwed up with our brains," I said sitting up.

"Huh," he looked so adorable.

"We're remembering things that haven't happened," I said quietly.

"Yeah, and I keep thinking about moving out of Florida. I've got this thing in me, like I'm afraid of a hurricane or something," he said glancing around.

I laughed slightly.

"You too, eh?"

"Hell, there is so much going on in my mind, I feel like I wasn't there when all this stuff happened to it," he said quietly putting his hand in mine.

He leaned in and kissed me softly on the mouth and gently licked his tongue across my lips. My body trembled.

"DUDE," I heard Zac exclaim from behind us.

*          *          *          *          *

There was nothing on TV! Finally, I came to a really old episode of Friends.

"Better than nothing," I mumbled.

"Is this okay with you?"

No answer.

"Daph?"

I leaned forward and looked over at her.

"Great, I see you have fallen asleep."

I glanced around the room and noticed the sliding glass door leading out to the patio. I stood up. I wonder if they have a pool or something. I peaked out and almost fell over.

"TAYLOR AND WILL ... KISSING," I screamed to myself, I kinda wondered, but I never, but ...

I pulled open the door.

"DUDE," I exclaimed.

They broke their kiss. Will looked away and Taylor blushed.

"Zac, I can explain, we were just talking," Tay began.

"Maybe at first, but I know what kissing looks like."

"You're not going to tell anyone are you," Tay gasped as I saw him turn pale in the sunlight.

"Tay, your secret's safe with me. The most important thing is that you're happy."

Tay visibly relaxed as the color started to perk back into his face.

"Where's Daphne" Will asked.

I turned around slightly and looked back into the living room. Daphne was still asleep on the couch.

"Oh she fell asleep on the couch," Will and Tay exchanged glances. Will went to open his mouth, but before he could speak Tay's stomach growled loudly. He blushed again.

"Sorry, I'm kinda hungry."

Will spoke up.

"Why didn't you guys say anything? I mean we don't really have anything here, but I could run out and bring something back unless you guys want to go out to eat."

"We could go out, but I don't want to have to leave Daphne behind."

"Zac," Will started, "I wasn't suggesting we leave Daphne behind. I mean come on it's not like she's narcoleptic. We can wake her up."

"Actually, why don't you go get her and I'll be in the car with Will," Tay suggested as he dragged Will past me.

I guessed they had some more 'talking' to do. I smirked as I closed and locked the door. I slid over to Daphne quietly. I didn't want to wake her up yet. I knelt down and just stared at her for a few minutes. A bit of hair was hanging down in front of her face. I reached out and brushed it behind her ear. I felt her breath on my fingers. I looked around me to make sure no one was watching. She was fast asleep. I reached out and quickly traced her lips, my fingertips only slightly brushing them. I wanted to kiss her again so bad.

"WAIT," my mind screamed.

"What the hell am I thinking," I pulled my hand away.

I'm molesting a sleeping girl! Not to mention, Tay and Will are still waiting in the car...

"Daphne, wake up," I said as I reached out and pushed her a bit.

She moaned, but didn't wake up.

"Oh, God ... that's hot. No, wait ... fuck," I thought to myself.

"DAPH," I grabbed her and started to shake her.

"AH! AH! I'M AWAKE! I'M AWAKE," she screamed waking up.

I stopped, but didn't let go.

"Zac?"

"Yeah?"

"Are you okay," she asked.

"I don't know," I replied.

I leaned in to kiss her. Just before our lips met the phone rang. I jumped back and she leaped off the couch.

"Um, um, I have to get that!"

"Good idea," I said as she ran into the other room.

*          *          *          *          *

"Oh my God! What the hell just happened," I thought to myself as I rushed into the office.

I picked up the phone.

"Hello?"

"Daphne?"

"Yeah, who's this?"

"Oh, hey, sorry. It's Ike. Just wanted to know what you guys were up to."

"Oh, um, hold on, Ike. I'll get Zac for you."

I turned around and my heart jumped into my throat. Zac was right behind me.

"Just give me a heart attack why don't you?"

"Why not? You already gave me one," he smiled.

"What," I asked confused.

"Never mind," he mumbled. He reached his hand out.

"Huh?"

"Uh, phone," he whispered.

"Oh, d'uh, sorry," I replied handing him the phone. Our hands touched for a split second. He grinned at me and then put the receiver to his ear.

"Ike, you there? Yeah, sorry it took me so long. Oh, we're about to go out and get something to eat. No idea where. Somewhere not crowded with air conditioning, that's for sure. Yeah, no problem. Can we bring Will and Daphne? Awesome! Bye!"

He hung up the phone.

"Bring us where," I asked.

"Oh, back to our hotel, if that's okay. We have to go over some paper work real quick. Then we can all just hang."

"Okay," was the only thing I could think to say.

What is it with them inviting me back to their hotel? Not that I really mind, but geeze…

*          *          *          *          *

I wanted to get away from everyone but Will right at that moment. My mind was spinning, I wanted to sit down and actually talk this time.

"Hold up," Will said as he snatched his keys off the kitchen counter as I pulled him towards the door.

The inside air was a nice change after the pulsing heat outside. My beater was almost soaked. I glanced at the mirror in the hallway.

"Damn it," I muttered out loud.

"Something wrong," he asked as I realized I had said that out loud.

"Oh no nothing," I replied.

Most of the foundation on my face had washed off with the sweat and my cheeks were in full flush. The fact that I wore make up was the last thing he needed to know.

We opened the car door and started in when the blast of hot stale air rushed up into our faces.

"Ugh," he grunted pulling back as the heat waves surged out of the parked car.

"Let me get the air going before we get in," he winced as he leaned in and turned the car on.

"How can you bear this heat," I asked as the radio clicked on.

I heard oldies music, and smiled, my kind of guy.

"I don't know, I try to stay inside during the day, if I'm not at the beach," he replied turning back to face me.

"You don't look like you go that much," I commented noticing he didn't have much of a tan.

"Yeah, I know, I'm probably one of the most pale people in the state of Florida," he giggled.

His laugh was so amazing. My stomach flopped a little. I rubbed it without thinking.

"You know something," he started.

"Hmm?"

"I feel like I've known you for like, a long time," he said looking me in the eyes.

"I know what you mean," I replied.

"It's so hard to explain," he said quietly.

He reached out and lightly brushed his fingers through the hair above my ear. I sighed.

"God why do I love him so much," my mind asked as I tilted my head and pressed it against the palm of his hand.

My eyes closed.

"God only knows what I'd be without you," I heard the Beach Boys sing on the radio.

My brain flashed.

*          *          *          *          *

I was so tired, the bean bag was deep. I wanted to rest but that horrible feeling was rushing through me. He must have noticed I was upset, because I felt him lay down beside me. My mind got foggy, I felt so tired. His voice crystal clear lilted though my ears.

"God only knows what I'd be with out you," his voice sung quietly.

The heat rushed back, and my eyes snapped open.

*          *          *          *          *

I gasped. I saw his eyes opening just as mine had.

"Did you," I started to ask.

"Yeah," he muttered quietly, a mixture of fear and confusion on his face, as he reached in the car and quickly turned off the radio.

"Where was that," I asked.

"Our garage, back home in Tulsa," he said quietly.

"What's happening," I started to tear up.

"I don't know," he said quietly as he stepped close to me.

A tear ran down my cheek. I felt numb all over.

A bus passed by, a movie advertisement plastered across the side.

"The Big One: Coming this Fall."

*          *          *          *          *

My mind scrambled. I felt like the ground shifted, I heard screams. My mind shifted. I looked over at Will. We were standing in a cluster of large bushes. Our mouths so close together.

"Ahem," a female voice giggled.

We spun around. Geri Halliwell smiled at us.

"You know shagging in public isn't legal in England either," she laughed.

"We weren't," I started.

I felt myself fall against him. My mind snapped back.

*          *          *          *          *

I jolted as I heard those words. Taylor was against me as my mind cleared.

*          *          *          *          *

My mind spun and I found myself leaning against him. His back pressed against the car door.

I leaned in, the heat making my head even more dizzy. I could feel him trembling. I had to taste him again. I had to feel his mouth, that secure feeling of his arms around me his mouth against mine. I gasped slightly as our mouths met. His tongue was so soft.

His mouth tasted so amazing. I heard a car pass by and opened my eyes. Realizing that making out like this in public probably wasn't a good idea I broke the kiss.

"Oh God," I thought as I watched him, still kissing the air. His eyes shut, lost in the moment.

"Let's get in the car," I said quietly. His eyes opened.

We pulled the door open and got in. The icy blast from the air conditioners felt like heaven.

"Thank God for modern technology," I giggled as we crunched in together in the back seat.

"Kinda cramped," he smiled.

"Ok with me," I grinned back.

Shit, I've complained about being cooped up in a bus with Ike and Zac for two month periods. Here I am ready and willing to stuff myself into the back seat of a car with a sweaty boy.

I smiled.

"What," he asked.

"Nothing, it's just wild how things turn out."

"If only we could remember HOW they began," he grinned.

"All I know is there is something here," I said touching my chest and then his.

"I know," he muttered quietly.

"You've felt it too, I can tell," I said.

Where am I getting all these guts from?

"Taylor, I love you, it feels so weird to say it, but at the same time it feels so right."

"I know, I know what you mean. A part of me keeps trying to say that I shouldn't, that I don't even know you. But inside I know you, I close my eyes and feel you," I trembled.

"God what the hell is happening," I thought to myself. No one has ever had this kind of effect on me.

"You make my heart hurt you know," he said looking directly into my eyes.

"Huh?"

"Everything about you, the feeling in here, my heart wants to explode," he said quietly.

"What's going on," I asked confused.

"I don't know, I don't know if we'll ever know, but all I can say is, I love you and

I want to be with you," he replied.

"A part of me is scared," I said quietly.

"Scared of what?"

"Scared to let go, to just follow my heart," I tried to explain. Tears filling my eyes.

"Taylor, it's your call," he said quietly putting his hand behind my neck while leaning closer.

Oh no, not this time. This time I was gonna be the one making the move. I swatted his hand away and lunged forward. My mouth smacking against his. We tipped backward into the seat.

Our tongues danced. My heart raced. Even though the temperature in the car must have been around seventy degrees I broke out in a sweat.

"Fuck I want him," I thought to myself.

I ground myself against him. Gasping for air I pulled my mouth away and licked his neck. He gasped and bit at my ear.

"What am I doing," my brain yelled as I flicked my tongue under his ear lobe and grabbed a hand full of hair and pulled a bit harder than comfortable. His back arched. He groaned loudly.

"Ah ha, so that's his weak spot," I giggled to myself happily.

I reached for his belt buckle. My angle was bad, and it was almost impossible. He gasped again. I sucked a breath of air in when I felt him push his hand down into the waist of my leather pants. I started panting, out of breath as his fingers wrapped around me. This was amazing, not even the on and off girlfriends had turned me on like this. I heard the front door of the condo close. I didn't care. I wanted him.

I felt his hand begin to pump up and down. The arguing outside the car didn't register. I whimpered and gasped for air as I licked at his mouth.

*          *          *          *          *

I grabbed Daphne's hand and dragged her out the door.

"Where are they," she asked as we stood in the driveway staring at the empty running car.

"I don't know. Do you see a teddy bear with a note?"

"Um, no. Why?"

"Well that scratches out that possibility," I replied.

"Huh?"

"The possibility that they were kidnapped by teenies who wanted to tie Tay up and use him for ... " She held her hand up.

"I CAN IMAGINE WHAT THEY WOULD USE HIM FOR, SO JUST STOP RIGHT THERE! No, but seriously, where the heck did they go? How do they keep disappearing," she asked.

I stared at the car and then I felt a smile come to my face as a light bulb went on in my head.

"How much do you want to bet that they are in the backseat making out?"

"EXCUSE ME?!"

"Come on Daph, the car is on. They are no where in sight. The back windows are a little fogged."

"Whatever Zac! Besides it's almost one hundred degrees out here, there's no fog.

Plus I've known Will forever and he is not the type to just start making out with -" She stopped.

"What," I asked.

"Well, then again, it is a Hanson, and I know I'd make out with a Hanson in the back of my car."

I froze and looked at her.

"What?!"

She laughed.

"I'm joking! Geeze, lighten up. I bet you anything that your brother is on top."

"Bullshit! Will's on top."

"Wanna bet," she teased.

"No, Tay's been acting weird lately so you never know!"

"You're no fun" she commented throwing open the car door. Sure enough Taylor was on top. Tay jumped up. I almost fell over when I saw Wills hand pulling out of Tay's pants!

"HOLY SHIT!"

Tay blushed as he tried to hide his wood. Will smoothed down his long brown hair and slid out of the car past Tay.

"Told you so," Daphne commented. Tay pushed by me.

"You two in the back," he mumbled. Will jumped into the driver's seat. Daphne climbed into the backseat. I jumped in behind and slammed the door shut behind me.

"How the heck did you two fit back here," I exclaimed.

They ignored me though.

Daphne leaned over and whispered into my ear, "I don't think they minded being squished together," she muttered snickering.

Will reached out and grasped Tay's hand as he pulled his car out onto the road. I couldn't believe how happy they both were, especially Tay. He hadn't been this happy since.

I struggled to remember.

"Why was it so hard for me to remember the last time when Tay was happy," I asked myself.

All I was sure of was that Will was not touching me with that hand.

"Blah, blah, blah," Daphne mumbled as she leaned over the seats to turn on the radio. Loud rock music came blaring out of the stereo. She smiled at me as she leaned back.

"You rock! I was just waiting for you to turn on some crappy 'man group' music."

"'Man group' music?"

"Yeah, you know, Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync?"

"Oh, you mean boy bands…"

"No, Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync are a little too old to be considered boys. They are men. As for the whole band thing, they don't play instruments so they are really only a music group. That's why I call them man groups because that's all they are."

"Okay, you're scaring me," she laughed.

"Why? Because I'm so incredibly intelligent," I offered.

"No, because that actually made sense to me," she teased.

"How's Johnny Rockets," Will asked.

"Awesome with me. How about you, Zac," Tay questioned.

"Fine with me. Daphne?"

"Absolutely!"

Will found a spot in the parking lot, and we all jumped out.

"Do you think anyone will notice you guys," Daphne asked as we walked in.

"I don't know, Daph. Why don't you repeat that question a little louder when we walk in," I said as she smacked my arm.

"Don't be a jerk," she mumbled.

"That's like asking Zac to be a whole other person," Tay kidded.

"Table for four," the lady behind the counter asked.

"Yep," Will replied.

She led us to a table and handed us each a nickel for the mini jukebox on the table. I noticed Daphne pocketed hers.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm broke, okay?!?"

"NOT ANYMORE!!! NOW YOU HAVE A NICKEL!"

She put her finger up to my lips to silence me.

"Zac, hush, If it means that much to you, I'll put it back," I sighed.

"No, don't worry about it. How about I pay for your lunch? I mean, after all, you did win the bet."

"I thought we didn't have a bet?"

"Well I changed my mind! Don't think you're getting off that easy though. There will be other bets AND other lunches."

She smiled.

"I'll keep that in mind," her bangs had fallen back over her eyes, and I pushed them out of the way again. Tay cleared his throat.

"Um, you guys? Are you ready to order or what," Tay asked a twinkle in his eye.

He winked at me. Dude, I thought I told him not to wink at me anymore. It freaks me out.

"Wait, he doesn't actually think I like Daphne, does he," I asked myself.

I shook my head 'no' at him.

Tay rolled his eyes back at me, and then glanced back at his menu to look for something to order. Will just sat there in silence just staring at Tay in rapture. Tay glanced up and turning to look at Will, smiled. The attraction was obvious. Daphne cleared her throat. Our eyes all turned towards her.

"Sorry, but were we going to order or what? 'Cause I don't know about you guys, but I'm starving."

"All of the sudden? Could that be because I'm paying now," I teased.

"Don't be a dork," she replied. The waitress came over at that moment.

"Can I get you guys anything to drink?"

"Dr. Pepper," was the unanimous reply.

"Okay, are you ready to order or do you need more time?"

"No, I think we're ready. Right guys" Tay said.

We all nodded. Taylor turned towards the waitress.

"Okay, I'd like a chili cheese dog with chili cheese fries."

The waitress eyes moved on to Will who looked a bit flustered.

I immediately started counting to see if both their hands were above the table.

"Um, I'll have the same," he smiled.

Yup, four hands all accounted for.

Tay and Will's eyes locked for a second. You could almost see the sparks flying between them as they connected. Tay broke the connection by quickly turning his head away so that Will couldn't see him blushing.

"Oh, that's just so sick it's cute," I teased.

Daphne laughed and placed her order.

"I'll have a Double with regular fries," I almost choked.

"HEY! THAT'S WHAT I WANTED TO ORDER," I protested.

"Well, it's not like we can't both order the same thing," she replied.

Tay snickered and commented, "Oh, that's just so sick it's, well, sick."

As the waitress walked away, I found Taylor's leg underneath the table and kicked it as hard as I possibly could.

"OW," Will screamed. I felt my face grow red.

"Oh, sorry. I thought your leg was Taylor's…Hey, wait a minute! What's your leg doing all the way over there anyway?"

Both Taylor and Will blushed and remained silent.

The rest of the lunch was pretty uneventful. We were all so hungry, that we did little talking while we were eating. I always thought it'd feel weird to eat in front of the girl I liked, but I felt totally comfortable around Daphne.

It was almost like she was one of the guys. Then again I've never had the urge to kiss any of my guy friends and with Daphne - I DEFINITELY FELT THE URGE! As we climbed back into Will's car I couldn't believe it, but I thought that for the first time in my life I was actually starting to understand what Ike told me he felt for Shiye.
