This is certainly a strange time of year ...

We watch as our friends who are both near and dear
Turn into mad scrambling shoppers that everyone should fear!

The moon on the breast of the new fallen snow
Is quickly and efficently plowed to the side of the road.

What is this holiday season we've all come to know
As we shop til you drop and spend lots and lots of doe?

The commercials all prod us to spend, spend and spend
They make us feel guilty if our credit doesn't come to an end!

Why oh why can't everyone see
That all children need is some time on your knee?

Time is what the future generation needs so badly
But it's something we don't have enough of, sadly.

This season of year should remind us most clear
Of all the things we take for granted that are so very near.

The blessings of friendship, the love of those dear
That's all we really need in this season of year.

It's our sincerest wish in this oh so commercial season
That the true spirit and feeling will all come to reason.

It's with all of these thoughts so close to our heart
That we want to let you know right from the start

You are one of the very special people
That brings warmth to our heart.

Happy Holidays!
Jevic and Jeff
