A note from Chris James
This story continues the lives and careers of the characters from Exit Stage Left. It might benefit the reader to absorb that storyline first, but it isn't necessary. So come with me behind the studio gates with some of the finest fictional actors that Hollywood would love to have. Just remember, if it isn't real it must be Hollywood.
In the summer of 2009 I began to write a story which at the time existed only as a name: exithollywood Stage Left. I knew that had to be the title since this was a tale of those who toiled backstage in theater, and stage left was the technical crew's domain.
The story posted in the spring of 2010 and it felt like I had accomplished something grand. I had used personal experience to build a credible romance story, exposed the readers to something they might not have known before, and included some humorous incidents from the past.
In light of all that I developed several characters which I found endearing and whose future I left unsaid ... until now. This will be the first sequel to a story that I have ever written and I found the task daunting. I will remind readers here that it would be of great benefit to go back and view Exit Stage Left before attempting this one.
Exit Hollywood is a new story, but there are elements of the original that cannot be ignored. I did not take the time to go back and explain former events in great detail. This was about carrying those characters forward in their fictional lives and into further adventures.
This also takes the author forward as well, and into the unknown. I did have some small involvement in both television and film production back in the day. But this story forced me to review those early learning steps and expound upon them with more research. If I play the fiction well then you will little notice my gaffes as I attempt to entertain you.
The names and characters in this story are not meant to represent any real films or persons, they are all fictional. The private lives of Hollywood personalities should remain just that ... private. Only fools believe what they read in tabloid magazines. Thank you for reading. Chris James, 2010
