A note from Chris James
One of the joys of writing fiction is the placement of a story in a contrived setting. I have admired many small back-road towns and villages in my travels, and each of them occupies a small corner of my mind as I write a story.
My great thanks to Wayne and Jerry for their help in editing this story, someone had to keep me in line, and they did a wonderful job of looking over my shoulder. My muse is often devoid of any attempt to place punctuation in the proper location, and if given the chance I will write a sentence almost a paragraph long. Editors make the work readable.
